Life Update : February & March '25
February kicked off with a fresh new hobby: learning cursive handwriting. I’ve been using The 7 Steps to Elegant Cursive Handwriting: Master the Art of Beautiful Penmanship by Ricca’s Garden (released September 13, 2023), and I have to say—it's amazing! I’ve already picked up so much, but I’ve still got a loooong way to go before my writing looks consistent and polished. Still, I’m loving the process.
February is also my birthday month! To celebrate, I planned a dinner evening with my close friends on the 2nd of March at Asia Aker Brygge from 5 PM to 9 PM. The dress code was formal—everyone wore their best, and I had a custom golden couture dress made (designed by me, sewn by Josefine's Atelier in Oslo). The evening’s menu was from Taste The Green, and the vibe was exactly what I envisioned.
Here was the game plan for the night:
Welcome with snacks & drinks
Capture memories: take pictures throughout the evening
Mingle and talk to everyone
Enjoy a lovely dinner
Play a fun bingo game
Do a light activity with paper at each table (just a little challenge for fun!)
Have dessert and open gifts
Give a short dinner speech
And yes, I decorated the tables before the guests arrived (ish)!
I felt so shiny and celebrated that evening, and I truly loved every part of it. Even though I’m a full-time student in my final semester of a Bachelor’s in Organizational Psychology, HR, and Leadership, I managed to squeeze in some downtime too. In February, I caught Mufasa: The Lion King in theaters—a powerful and emotional story about two brothers. I genuinely loved both characters equally. Such a meaningful message behind it.
March brought even more movie nights! I watched three films: Presence, Snow White, and Don't Hang Up. Out of the three, Snow White ended up being my favorite—but the others were still worth watching.
On the personal style front, I made a bold change in March: I dyed my hair for the first time ever! I went from naturally black to a deep, dark blonde—and I’m loving it. If you’ve never experimented with your hair color before, I highly recommend trying it. It’s such a fun way to shake things up. The Hair salon: Jan Thomas Studio Parkveien.
This Pink dress was worn at my of my girl friend’s birthday dinner party on Marach 8h and so we were asked to blanch and pink for the evening.
March was also a month of balancing intense study sessions with part-time work hours. With exams right around the corner in April, I’m diving into full study mode now.
Let’s see what next month brings! If you're also a student, good luck with your exams—and wish me luck too!
